In order to make sure that your WebQuest stays aligned with your unit, you will need to copy and paste 3 things from your Stages 1 and 2 from Dr. Grace's wiki onto this page. (This will also help Dr. Theresa give you better feedback on your Intro, Task, and Conclusion.) Then you will write your first drafts of your Introduction and Conclusion.

G.R.A.S.P.S

( Feel free to copy and paste what you have on your wiki page for Dr. Grace for the GRASPS portion of your unit (Stage 2). Note that you don't need the Standards part, though you can include it if you want.)

Introduction

Task

Pixar studios is looking for new writers to create the next big movie. The President of the company has decided the next movie needs to have some educational value. This new movie is to be titled Aqua.

So come one, come all: creators and planners, bring your ideas. Tell a compelling story of the water cycle. Write about erosion and weathering. Introduce viewers to the excitement of gravity and sunlight's effects. Make global water movement present in every second of the movie, teaching watchers of all ages.

Only one story can be produced, will your story be the lucky winner? All you can do is try. Win over the President and his trusted Board of Directors to earn the coveted movie contract with Pixar Studios. The creator of the chosen storyboard may even have the chance of joining the extensive panel of writers at Pixar. Good luck to all, your creations are awaited with baited breath.

Conclusion

Thank you for submitting your ideas to the Directors of Pixar.
Through your efforts and plans, we feel our animators will be able to show our viewers the three main goals we asked you to explore. That water continually cycles among the land, the oceans and the atmosphere. Also that global water movement and its form change are propelled by sunlight and gravity. Finally that water's movement causes weathering and erosion, which change land surface formations and create formations underground.
We appreciate the storyboards that outlined your ideas and the Comic Life you created to bring the ideas to life. These both will help us greatly to decide on a winner. If you think of any more topics or ideas you would like to share, please speak with our Director of Scoring, Ms. Carnell.
